Like Caramel Brownie, Strawberry Cheesecake has a black wrapper highlighted with red (for strawberries, obviously). The wrapper shoes a section of the bar with a white centre dotted with red, and beside it a piece of strawberry cheesecake. The wrapper's byline states the bar is 'milk chocolate with strawberry cream cheese filling'. The strawberries seem to be real - they are mentioned in the ingredients list as just 'strawberries' - and the cream cheese is from cream cheese powder.
The 39g is long and narrow at 17cm long, and sectioned with six pieces. The milk chocolate outer has a semi-gloss finish and is rich in colour. It smells sweet, but not milky sweet. I can't really pick the flavour behind it but it's unique.
As in it's brother Caramel Brownie, the centre of Strawberry Cheesecake is spread throughout the bar, not holed up in each piece. It is cream in colour, has a nice fluffy texture, and is dotted with tiny pieces of pink and red. By itself, it has a strong strawberry presence. It's creamy and sweet. The red and pink bits don't add anything in the way of texture, but there are tiny biscuit pieces hidden in the mix as well.
Together with the chocolate, the piece is strong and very much cheesecake in flavour, There's a strong creamy and somewhat cheesy undertone, and the chocolate becomes a background flavour. The biscuit pieces add a tiny bit of texture; I would have liked to have a little more. The bar as a whole is quite moreish; a block of it would not last long in my house!
I truly enjoyed this, despite its strong flavours. It's not something I would
Score: 4.5 out of 5 stars.
